PERFORMANCE PROGRAM
Το Εθνικό Μπαλέτο της Ισπανίας υπό τη διεύθυνση του κορυφαίου χορογράφου και νέου
καλλιτεχνικού διευθυντή Rubén Olmo, παρουσιάζει για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα, στις 18 και 19
Σεπτεμβρίου, την παράσταση INVOCACION / ΕΠΙΚΛΗΣΗ κάτω από τον ιερό βράχο της
Ακρόπολης. Για δύο βραδιές, η καρδιά της Ισπανικής κουλτούρας και του Ανδαλουσιανού
ταμπεραμέντου θα χτυπά στο Ωδείο Ηρώδου Αττικού.
Από το παθιασμένο φλαμένκο και το παραδοσιακό μπολερό ως τον γοητευτικό σύγχρονο χορό
και το κλασικό μπαλέτο, το Invocacion παρουσιάζει όλα τα είδη και τις τάσεις του ισπανικού
χορού, σε μια μεγάλη γιορτή συναισθημάτων και δημιουργικών αντιθέσεων, με απρόσμενες
εναλλαγές χορογραφιών, εντυπωσιακά κοστούμια και πρωτότυπη ζωντανή μουσική.
Ένα ταξίδι στα ωραιότερα τοπία της Ιβηρικής Χερσονήσου, για τους φίλους του χορού και της
ισπανικής κουλτούρας, με όχημα τη μουσική και τον χορό και οδηγούς τους 60 κορυφαίους
χορευτές και τους 15 δεξιοτέχνες μουσικούς που θα βρεθούν πάνω στη σκηνή του Ηρωδείου.

Το Invocacion -η πρώτη παραγωγή του Εθνικού Μπαλέτου της Ισπανίας υπό την καλλιτεχνική
διεύθυνση του Rubén Olmo- έκανε πρεμιέρα τον Μάρτιο του 2020 στο Villamarta Theatre – Jerez
και στις 18 & 19 Σεπτεμβρίου επισκέπτεται για πρώτη φορά την Ελλάδα στο πλαίσιο της
παγκόσμιας περιοδείας της παράστασης.
Μέσα από τέσσερις νέες χορογραφίες, το κοινό θα έχει την ευκαιρία να ζήσει την απόλυτη
εμπειρία χορού μέσα από ένα συνδυασμό της αυθεντικής γοητείας του Flamenco με την αυστηρή
δεξιοτεχνία του μπαλέτου που .

Πρόσφατη χορογραφία βασισμένη σε ένα από τα πιο χαρακτηριστικά και πολύπλοκα είδη του
ισπανικού χορού με χρήση καστανιετών, που εμφανίστηκε τον 18 ο αιώνα και συνδυάζει μοναδικά
τους λαϊκούς χορούς της Ανδαλουσίας με τον πιο «ακαδημαϊκό» χορό. Ένας φόρος τιμής στους
μεγάλους δασκάλους της Escuela Bolera, που καθόρισαν το είδος Ángel Pericet, Mariemma,
Antonio el Bailarín κ.ά..

Επηρεασμένος από ένα χωριό της Γρανάδα που συνυπάρχουν ο χριστιανικός, ο εβραϊκός και ο
αραβικός πολιτισμός, ο Ruben Olmo, δημιουργεί μια γέφυρα ανάμεσα στα διαφορετικά στυλ
χορού και οδηγεί το granaína και το zapateado στο επίκεντρο
ETERNA IBERIA

Κοστούμια: Yaiza Pinillos
Εμπνευσμένος από τη μουσική που έγραψε το 1963 ο Moreno Buendía για το Eterna Castilla, ο
χορογράφος Antonio Najarro παρουσιάζει την προσωπική του οπτική για τον ισπανικό χορό, μέσα
από ομαδικές χορογραφίες, σόλο και pas de deux, που συνδυάζουν τη χρήση καστανιέτας,
ισπανικής κάπας και καπέλου Cordovan. Μια σύγχρονη ματιά στις ρίζες, την ουσία και τον πλούτο
της χώρας που είναι γεμάτη μελωδικές και ρυθμικές αποχρώσεις και απαράμιλλη δύναμη.
DE LO FLAMENCO – Αφιέρωμα στον Mario Maya.

Με αυτή τη σουίτα φλαμένκο, βασισμένη στο πρωτοπόρο και απολύτως προσωπικό στυλ του
Mario Maya (1937-2008), το Εθνικό Μπαλέτο της Ισπανίας εντάσσει για πρώτη φορά στο
ρεπερτόριό του ένα δικό του έργο, αφιερώνοντας μέρος της παράστασης στον κορυφαίο χορευτή
και χορογράφο, ο οποίος, παρότι υπήρξε εκ των δημιουργών του Ανδαλουσιανού Θεάτρου
Φλαμένκο με το δικό του μοναδικό στυλ, δεν είχε συμπεριληφθεί μέχρι τώρα στο ρεπερτόριο του
Ballet Nacional de España.
Οι παραστάσεις τελούν υπό την αιγίδα της Ισπανικής Πρεσβείας.

The apotheosis of the Spanish dance in Herodion!
September 18th & 19th
The National Ballet of Spain under the direction of the leading choreographer and new artistic director Rubén Olmo, presents for the first time in Greece, on the 18th and 19th September, the show INVOCACION under the sacred rock of Acropolis. For two nights, the heart of Spanish culture and Andalusian temperament will ring in the Conservatory of Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
Invocacion presents all genres and trends of Spanish dance, from passionate flamenco and traditional bolero to charming modern dance and classical ballet, in a great celebration of emotions and creative contrasts, with unexpected changing choreography, spectacular costumes and live music.
A journey to the most beautiful landscapes of the Iberian Peninsula, for lovers of dance and of Spanish culture, with music and dance as a vehicle and the top 60 dancers and the 15 skilled musicians who will be on the stage of Herodeio.

A two-hour journey in the authentic atmosphere of Andalusia!
Invocacion – the first production of the National Ballet of Spain under the artistic director Rubén Olmo- premiered in March 2020 at the Villamarta Theater – Jerez and on September 18 & 19 he visits Greece for the first time as part of world tour of the show.
Through four new choreographies, the audience will have the opportunity to experience the ultimate dance experience through a combination of the authentic charm of Flamenco with the strict ballet skill.
INVOCACION BOLERA

Recent choreography based on one of his most characteristic and complex genres of Spanish dance using castanets, which appeared in the 18th century and combines the unique folk dances of Andalusia with the most “academic” dance. A tribute to great masters of the Escuela Bolera, who defined the genre Ángel Pericet, Mariemma, Antonio el Bailarín et al..
JAULENA
Choreography: Rubén Olmo
Influenced by a village in Granada, where coexists the Christian, the Jewish and the Arab culture, Ruben Olmo creates a bridge between the different styles of dance and brings granaína and zapateado into the spotlight
ETERNA IBERIA

Inspired by the music written in 1963 by Moreno Buendía for Eterna Castilla, o choreographer Antonio Najarro presents his personal perspective on Spanish dance, inside from group choreographies, solos and pas de deux, which combine the use of castanets, Spanish cape and Cordovan hat. A modern look at roots, substance and richness of the country that is full of melodic and rhythmic nuances and unparalleled power.
DE LO FLAMENCO – Tribute to Mario Maya.

With this flamenco suite, based on his pioneering and completely personal style Mario Maya (1937-2008), the National Ballet of Spain includes for the first time in his repertoire a work of his own, dedicating part of the performance to the leading dancer and choreographer, who, although he was one of the creators of the Andalusian Theater Flamenco in his own unique style, it had not been included in his repertoire until now
National Ballet of Spain.
The performances are held under the auspices of the Spanish Embassy.
